Guadalupe Salgado

Biography

Guadalupe Salgado (b. 1991, Mexico City) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, photography, and sculpture. She studied Plastic and Visual Arts at the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca, specializing in Painting.

Salgado has been a recipient of the Young Creators Scholarship from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA), awarded in the Photography category in 2014 and in Sculpture in 2024.

Her work has been included in major platforms such as the National Meeting of Young Art in Aguascalientes (2015–2022) and the 3rd Meeting of Plastic Arts of Tabasco (2016). She has also participated in several international residencies, including No Lugar in Quito (2016), Residencia Art Project in Playa del Carmen (2021), Atelier Mondial in France–Switzerland (2023), La Residencia Belmond in Mallorca (2024), and La BIBI in Mallorca (2025).

Salgado’s work has been exhibited internationally in Mexico, New York, Paris, Basel, Quito, Berlin, Milan, Mallorca, and Hong Kong.
